Learn About Thomas the Tank Engine
 Thomas the Tank Engine was created by a man named Wilbert Vere Awdry. This England Man created Thomas Stories for his son, Christopher, when Christopher became ill. Wilbert always loved trains and would fall asleep to them at night when he was a boy. So he carved his son a wooden train engine and would tell him stories. Soon, he told his son the stories so many times, his son had them memorized word by word. Never dreaming he'd become an author, Wilbert wrote it down on paper so he wouldn't forget. He soon had names for all his train characters. A few years later after all his family's encouragements and faith in him, he turned in his stories to a publishing company, whom published his first book, 'The Three Railway Engines'. Once out on the market, they sold extremely well, which inspired Wilbert to continue on with 2 more books. Selling just as good as his first book, parents were urging for more stories, so Wilbert dedicated his talent for writing Kids Books. He would write 1 book once a year. That continued for the next 23 Years when he wrote the final 26th Book of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends.
After 12 years Wilbert's son, Christopher, ended up picking up his dad's legacy in becoming an author. His first continued book (27th Addition) was called, 'Really Useful Engines' and continued to write, succeeding to publish 14 more additions; later on, becoming movie series.
